Project Summary
A failing condenser coil and refrigerant leak left this 12-year-old commercial rooftop unit struggling to cool the building. After comparing the cost of repair versus replacement, we installed a new Lennox packaged rooftop unit with electric heat, fresh air damper, hail guards, and a programmable thermostat—providing reliable performance and long-term value for the customer.

Project Overview
Our team was called to inspect a commercial rooftop unit that had stopped cooling effectively. A thorough leak check confirmed a refrigerant leak in the condenser coil. While the coil could have been replaced, the repair cost was significant, and the existing unit had already reached 12 years of service.
Rather than investing heavily in aging equipment that could require additional repairs in the future, we reviewed the options with the customer and recommended replacing the rooftop unit. The investment in new equipment provided greater long-term value, improved efficiency, and dependable operation.
Work Performed
To restore reliable cooling, our technicians completed a full commercial rooftop unit replacement that included:
- Removal of the existing rooftop unit using a crane.
- Installation of a new Lennox LCH060H4EC-2Y packaged rooftop unit with electric heat.
- Installation of a new Lennox fresh air damper.
- Installation of Lennox hail guards to help protect the condenser coil from weather damage.
- Installation of a Honeywell VisionPRO 8000 programmable thermostat.
- Complete startup, testing, and commissioning to verify proper system performance.
Results Delivered
The customer avoided making a major investment in repairing aging equipment and instead received a brand-new commercial HVAC system designed for long-term reliability. Full cooling capacity was restored, indoor comfort improved, and the new hail guards provide additional protection for the condenser coil.
The installation is backed by a 5-year Lennox parts and compressor warranty along with our 1-year workmanship warranty, giving the customer confidence that their investment is protected for years to come.
